Percy :)

The concept that I have chosen to pursue is based around a character who has been growing with me ever since I was able to conceptualize my ideas onto paper.
Over time he has been given many different names; however, with the assistance of forces which I can only perceive to be the divine powers that be, his name has become Percival (Percy for short).
Percy is the embodiment of many different people, experiences, and ideas.
He is a representation of my brothers' and my lives around the age of 7.
Percy has the wit of my second brother Ryan, the heart and stubborness of my third brother Robert, and the lack of conviction and viciousness of my youngest brother Raymond. Lastly, Percy has my mannerisms and imagination.
Unlike a 7 year old child; however, Percy has the voice of a man in his forties. Though everyone around him is oblivious to this fact - his voice thundering and with great depth. He speaks with a masterful grip of the human language. His voice can be said to be reminiscent Kelsey Grammer and James Earl Jones.
Percy is a very conniving child; always trying to devise a new way to get whatever his young selfish mind wants at that time. In many instances his stubborn resolve, to have what he wants, presents himself as a villain - all the while still being a hero at heart. His imaginative methods at getting whatever he wants; rather it be fresh chocolate chip cookies that mom said you cannot have until after dinner or that new issue of Captain Blood Sucker or maybe the unbearable desire to terrorize his siblings to no end, always tend to put him at the mercy of his parent's last nerve.
Percy is constantly hearing the condescending and nagging "What a young man should be..." speeches from his over weight father and the more physical retaliations of his mother. Percy is frequently at odds with his twin sister, Veera, with whom many of his epic battles begin and end with. His older brother, Arlen, who is away at college; visits now and again only to be irritated by his little brother's illusions of torment.
I want the viewer to experience my childhood through the funny and, at times, heartfelt antics of Percy. I want my audience to find common ground with my characters and be able to relate to them on many different levels.
The animation that is presented is but a small glimpse of Percy's vast imagination.
Here his toys have been taken prisoner by a gigantic kraken. He rushes in to the rescue.
Below is the rough animation:
